Los Angeles County green cleaning

Green Cleaning Services in Los Angeles County

Lower-impact cleaning for Downtown and Westside offices, studio and media campuses, South Bay plants and Valley medical buildings, added to any EBS program.

The short answer

EBS Maintenance provides green cleaning services in Los Angeles County as an option on any program, using non-toxic, biodegradable products, HEPA-filtered vacuums and energy-efficient equipment, with recycled paper and refillable dispensers on request. EBS has more than 100 employees and over 10 million square feet serviced, and its crews bring the same supervised approach to green programs in towers, creative offices, studio campuses, plants and medical buildings across the county.

Eco-friendly commercial cleaning across Los Angeles County

The county's buildings ask different things of a green program. Downtown and Century City towers want products and records that fit a written green cleaning policy. Creative and tech offices in Playa Vista, Culver City, Santa Monica and Hollywood want low-fragrance products on open-plan floors where people sit close together. Studio and media campuses in Burbank and Culver City mix offices, production space and dining areas.

In the South Bay, aerospace and manufacturing campuses in El Segundo, Hawthorne and Torrance pair office floors with shop areas. Pasadena's offices, labs and colleges lead the San Gabriel Valley, Southeast Los Angeles is warehouses and plants in Commerce and Santa Fe Springs, and the San Fernando Valley centers on Warner Center and the Ventura Boulevard medical and office corridor.

Indoor air in a basin known for smog

Los Angeles has a long history with air quality, and the South Coast Air Quality Management District, based on Copley Drive in Diamond Bar, oversees it across the region. Cleaning products are a small but real source of volatile organic compounds, which is why the California Air Resources Board limits VOC content in many cleaning products. Indoors the effect is more direct: strong solvents and fragrance linger in sealed buildings with recirculated air.

A green program reduces that load. Plant-based cleaners leave fewer VOCs and residues behind, HEPA-filtered vacuums hold fine dust instead of blowing it back into the room, and efficient scheduling avoids over-applying product.

Green janitorial services for towers, studios and creative offices

In a tower or creative office, the daily scope stays the same. What changes is the chemistry, the equipment and the supplies.

  • Plant-based, biodegradable cleaners for desks, counters and break rooms
  • HEPA-filtered vacuums on carpet and hard floors
  • EPA-approved disinfectants kept for restrooms and high-touch points
  • Recycled paper products and refillable soap dispensers, on request
  • Sustainable can liners and separate recycling and organics streams

Organics, paper and supplies

Since SB 1383, California businesses have had to separate organic waste, and in a large office that starts in the break room. Crews collect trash, recycling and organics separately, keep bins in the right places and tell your facility contact when a stream is contaminated. Restroom supplies can move to recycled paper and refillable dispensers on request, cutting the packaging that leaves the building.

Keeping a green program consistent

Consistency is what makes a green program credible. Supervisors check product use during routine inspections and log results in eHub, and each correction is tracked until it is done. Crew members are trained on the green list before assignment, vetted and background-checked, and in EBS uniform, and backup staff carry the same products. Questions we hear

Request a walkthroughAll questions
What makes a cleaning product green?

Generally, lower toxicity, biodegradable ingredients and fewer volatile organic compounds. EBS's green line uses non-toxic, plant-based, biodegradable products that are safe for people, pets and surfaces. Third-party labels help when comparing products, and the walkthrough is the place to ask for the specific list we would use in your building.

Can green cleaning be used on only some floors?

Yes. Some buildings start with one tenant or one amenity floor and expand later. The scope lists which areas use green products and supplies, the crew is briefed on which products go where, and supervisors confirm the right ones are in use during inspections.

Do green programs still disinfect?

Yes, where disinfection is needed. Restrooms, door handles, elevator buttons and other touch points still get EPA-approved disinfectants, left for the contact time on the label. Plant-based cleaners handle general cleaning everywhere else, which cuts the total amount of harsh chemistry used in the building.

Is green cleaning available for studio and industrial sites, not just offices?

Yes. Green products and HEPA vacuuming suit office and support areas on studio lots and in South Bay plants as well as they suit towers. Production or shop floors may need specific degreasers or methods for safety reasons, and the walkthrough sorts out where green products fit and where they do not.
