San Bernardino County floor care
Floor and Carpet Care in San Bernardino County
Floor refinishing and carpet extraction for civic lobbies, arenas, malls, hospitals and offices from the West Valley to the High Desert.
The short answer
EBS Maintenance provides floor and carpet care in San Bernardino County for public buildings, event and retail venues, hospitals and medical offices, college campuses and office parks, from Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga to San Bernardino, Loma Linda and Victorville. With public-sector experience and a staff of more than 100, EBS runs strip and wax, burnishing and carpet extraction on cycles matched to how hard each floor is used.
Floor and carpet care in San Bernardino County's public buildings
San Bernardino is the county seat, and its downtown government center draws a steady flow of residents through public counters, waiting areas and security screening. Hesperia's Civic Plaza and the city halls across the valley see the same pattern on a smaller scale. Those lobbies wear in predictable places: the screening line, the queue in front of each counter and the path to the restrooms.
EBS has experience cleaning government and secure facilities, so crews work within badge, escort and after-hours access rules. Floor work in public buildings is booked for nights and weekends, and wet areas are fenced off well away from any door the public or staff might use early in the morning.
Arenas, convention space and shopping centers
The Ontario Convention Center and Toyota Arena host events that send large crowds across concourses, meeting rooms and restrooms in a single day. Floors there are scrubbed after events and burnished before the next one, with carpeted meeting rooms extracted on a cycle tied to the event calendar.
Retail floors follow store hours. Ontario Mills, Victoria Gardens and Terra Vista Town Center in Rancho Cucamonga, Montclair Place and Citrus Plaza in Redlands close overnight, which is when common areas, food court floors and entries are machine scrubbed and burnished.

Typical starting cycles by zone
Frequencies depend on traffic, soil and finish condition, so these are only starting points. The walkthrough confirms or changes them for each building.
| Zone | Burnishing | Restorative work | Carpet extraction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public lobbies and arena concourses | Weekly or more | Scrub and recoat several times a year | Quarterly in carpeted entries |
| Hospital and clinic corridors | Weekly | Scrub and recoat between full strips | Waiting rooms quarterly |
| Office corridors and suites | Every two to four weeks | Strip and wax yearly or as finish wears | Semi-annual |
| Private offices and low-traffic rooms | As needed | Rarely needed | Annual |
Medical floors and campus buildings
Hospitals are the largest employers in several of the county's cities. Loma Linda University's academic medical center and children's hospital, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland and the Kaiser Permanente campus in Fontana are surrounded by medical office buildings whose corridors and exam rooms usually have VCT or sheet vinyl. Those floors are refinished after clinic hours, room by room, so practices can keep seeing patients.
Campuses such as Cal State San Bernardino, the University of Redlands, Chaffey College and Victor Valley College suit summer and break-period refinishing, while office parks along Haven Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga need carpet extraction more than wax.
High Desert grit and how the program changes
Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley and Adelanto deal with wind-blown sand and dust more than the valley cities do. Grit at entrances scratches finish and grays carpet quickly, so High Desert buildings get longer matting runs, dust mopping at every entry on each visit, and burnishing and extraction on shorter intervals than a similar building in Ontario would need.
Every cycle is inspected and logged by a field supervisor in EBS's eHub system, with backup staffing in place if a crew member is out. Crews come from EBS's single office in Corona. Call (949) 375-3305 or request a walkthrough to have your floors assessed.

Questions we hear
Still not sure? A supervisor can answer at the walkthrough.
Request a walkthroughAll questionsWhat is floor stripping and waxing, and when is it needed?
Stripping removes all of the old finish from a vinyl tile floor down to the tile, and waxing applies fresh coats of finish. It is needed when burnishing no longer restores the shine and scrubbing and recoating cannot fix scratched, yellowed or worn-through finish, usually in the busiest lanes first.
Can floors in a government building be done without disrupting public hours?
Yes. Work is scheduled for evenings, overnight or weekends, and each area is reopened only after the finish has cured and a supervisor has checked it. Crews follow the building's access and escort rules, and any closures are agreed with your facility contact in advance.
Do you provide commercial carpet cleaning for office parks in Rancho Cucamonga?
Yes. Office parks along Haven Avenue and elsewhere in the West Valley get hot-water extraction with spot treatment on a cycle set by traffic. Entries and corridors are usually done more often than private offices, and the work is scheduled after hours so tenants are not disturbed.
Do you charge more for High Desert locations?
Pricing is set per building after a walkthrough rather than by zone. Floor area, floor types, condition, cycle frequency, access rules and working hours drive the price, wherever the building sits. You receive a written scope so you can see exactly what each cycle includes.
