Airport and Aviation Cleaning in San Diego County

Cleaning for San Diego County's general aviation fields, aerospace and defense manufacturers and airport-area businesses, with salt air and security in mind.

The short answer

EBS Maintenance provides airport and aviation cleaning in San Diego County for hangars, airfield offices, aerospace and defense plants and aviation-linked businesses around Montgomery Field, Gillespie Field, Brown Field and San Diego International Airport. Programs deal with salt air on hangars and glass, follow clean-desk and escort rules in defense work, and cover offices, restrooms, break rooms and floors. Crews are background-checked, uniformed and supervised through documented inspections.

Airfields from North County to the border

Airport terminal cleaning in San Diego County is contracted through the airport operator, but most aviation buildings in the county belong to tenants, manufacturers and general aviation operators. These are the clusters EBS plans around:

  • San Diego International Airport, a short distance from Downtown, with the commercial and industrial Midway District at the north end of Point Loma
  • Montgomery Field in Kearny Mesa, where an industrial park grew around the airfield next to MCAS Miramar
  • Gillespie Field, a county-owned airport in El Cajon on the Santee border, ringed by industrial and business parks and home to an aerospace manufacturer
  • Brown Field Municipal Airport in Otay Mesa, near the border crossing and the Cross Border Xpress terminal
  • General Atomics Aeronautical Systems in Poway and an aerospace manufacturer in Chula Vista
  • Business parks along the Palomar Airport Road corridor in Carlsbad

Salt air on hangars, doors and glass

Close to the bay and the ocean, salt settles on everything. Hangar door tracks, metal frames and exterior glass pick up a gritty film that dulls glass and holds moisture against metal. Crews rinse salt from glass and frames rather than wiping it dry, which only scratches, and keep door tracks and thresholds clear so doors roll freely.

Cleaning products stay well away from aircraft. Any chemical used in a hangar is checked against the operator's approved list, since some cleaners can harm aluminum and painted surfaces.

Airport and aviation cleaning in San Diego County's defense plants

Aerospace and defense manufacturers in Poway, El Cajon and Chula Vista combine production floors with offices full of sensitive paperwork and screens. Clean-desk rules matter as much as debris control here. Crews never read, move or throw away documents left on desks, empty only marked bins, hand shred containers to whoever your procedure names, and avoid rooms they are not cleared to enter.

EBS has experience in high-security and government facilities, and the same small, background-checked crew is assigned to your site so access lists stay short and stable. On the production side, foreign object debris rules, closed-bag trash and tool counts are written into the scope.

Otay Mesa: border trade and airfield offices

Otay Mesa's economy revolves around cross-border trade through the commercial port of entry, with logistics firms, customs brokers and manufacturers near Brown Field. Offices here handle shipping and customs paperwork through long days, and some share buildings with warehouse space. Programs pair after-hours office cleaning with break room and restroom care for warehouse crews, and they treat paperwork with the same discretion as a defense office: nothing is moved, read or discarded unless it is in a bin.

How San Diego programs are run

EBS runs every program from its one office in Corona, with crews reaching North County by I-15 and continuing south to Kearny Mesa, East County and Otay Mesa. Supervisors inspect on a routine schedule and log results and fixes in eHub, backup staff cover absences, and a priority line handles urgent calls around the clock. Coastal sites can add a regular exterior glass and frame rinse to the calendar.

Request a walkthroughAll questions
Do you clean hangars near the coast where salt air is a problem?

Yes. Coastal hangar programs add regular rinsing of exterior glass and frames, clearing of door tracks and thresholds, and checks on entry mats. Chemicals used inside the hangar are cleared with the operator first, and crews keep them away from aircraft at all times.

Can your crews follow clean-desk rules in defense facilities?

Yes. Team members are trained not to read, move or throw away anything on desks, to empty only designated bins, and to stay out of rooms they are not cleared for. Your specific rules on shred bins, escorts and restricted areas are written into the scope.

Do you serve businesses around Montgomery Field and Gillespie Field?

Yes. Kearny Mesa, El Cajon and Santee are all in the service area, and programs there cover hangar offices, industrial and business park buildings, aerospace production support and the restrooms and break rooms that go with them.

Do you work in Otay Mesa and the South Bay?

Yes. Otay Mesa, San Ysidro, Chula Vista, National City and Coronado are part of the San Diego County service area. Programs near Brown Field often combine office cleaning with warehouse break rooms and restrooms, scheduled around long shipping days.
