Airport and Aviation Cleaning in Los Angeles County
Cleaning for Los Angeles County's airfields, aerospace campuses and former aviation sites, from the South Bay to the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys.
The short answer
EBS Maintenance provides airport and aviation cleaning in Los Angeles County for general aviation hangars and FBO buildings, aviation tenant offices near LAX, Hollywood Burbank and Van Nuys airports, aerospace production support areas and space-industry cleanrooms. Programs follow each site's badge, escort and debris-control rules, run overnight or around the clock where operations require it, and are inspected by supervisors who document every visit.
Airfields across the county and what surrounds them
Los Angeles County has airfields of every size, from LAX to small general aviation fields owned by cities and the county. The table lists the ones in or beside the EBS service area and the kinds of buildings that cluster around each.
| Airfield | Where | Buildings nearby |
|---|---|---|
| LAX | Directly north of El Segundo, just west of Inglewood | Aerospace campuses, corporate offices, aviation tenants |
| Hollywood Burbank Airport | Burbank, with its own Metrolink stop | Media District offices, hangars, tenant buildings |
| Van Nuys Airport | Van Nuys, the Valley's civic hub | Hangars, aviation offices, government buildings |
| Hawthorne Municipal Airport | Hawthorne, home to a Tesla design center | Space and aerospace factories, distribution |
| Zamperini Field | Torrance | Helicopter and precision manufacturers, corporate offices |
| Compton/Woodley Airport | Compton, owned by the county | General aviation hangars, logistics corridors |
| Brackett Field | La Verne, owned by the county | General aviation hangars near Old Town La Verne and the university |
| San Gabriel Valley Airport | El Monte | General aviation hangars, Valley Boulevard businesses |
Airport and aviation cleaning in Los Angeles County's aerospace belt
The South Bay is a center for aerospace and space work: Boeing, RTX, Northrop Grumman and The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, Northrop Grumman's Space Park in Redondo Beach, SpaceX's main factory in Hawthorne, and Robinson Helicopter and Honeywell in Torrance. Cleaning in these plants supports production rather than competing with it. Crews follow the plant's foreign object debris rules, keep carts and tools accounted for, and stay out of controlled areas unless escorted.
Space and satellite hardware is often built in cleanrooms classified under ISO 14644-1. EBS runs ISO- and GMP-aligned cleanroom programs with cleaning logs and service reports, so gowning, wipe patterns and records can be audited.

Hangars that became offices
Several former aviation sites in the county are now offices and shops. At Playa Vista, on the former Hughes Aircraft headquarters and airfield, offices fill the converted Spruce Goose hangar. Downey's former Rockwell/NASA plant has become a hospital, retail centers and the Columbia Memorial Space Center, and Pico Rivera Towne Center stands where the Ford and Northrop B-2 plant once did.
Converted hangars bring huge volumes and tall ceilings. Dust collects on trusses, ducts and light fixtures well out of reach, so high dusting is planned with lifts and HEPA equipment during weekends or quiet nights, and polished concrete floors get neutral cleaners that do not dull the finish.
Day and night coverage across a large county
Aviation sites in Los Angeles County range from a small hangar office in El Monte to round-the-clock aerospace operations in the South Bay. Programs run on whatever schedule the site needs: overnight crews for production support, day porters for busy aviation offices, and weekend visits for hangar floor work. Crews travel from the single EBS office in Corona, backup staff cover absences, and a priority line handles urgent calls at any hour.

Questions we hear
Still not sure? A supervisor can answer at the walkthrough.
Request a walkthroughAll questionsCan you clean cleanrooms at aerospace and space companies?
Yes. EBS runs cleanroom programs aligned with ISO and GMP practice, matched to the room's ISO 14644-1 class, with cleaning logs and service reports that support audits. Gowning, approved wipes and chemicals, and the order of cleaning are agreed with your contamination control team first.
Do you serve aviation businesses near LAX?
Yes. El Segundo, Inglewood, Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach and Torrance are all in the service area, and programs there include aviation tenant offices, aerospace support buildings and hangars. Any work inside the airport's secured areas goes through the airport's own badging process.
How do you clean a converted hangar with very high ceilings?
With lifts, HEPA-filtered equipment and a plan. High dusting of trusses, ducts and fixtures is scheduled for weekends or quiet nights, work areas below are covered or cleared, and floors are cleaned last so nothing that falls during the overhead work is left behind.
Do you offer airport terminal cleaning in Los Angeles County?
Terminal programs are available and are set up through the airport operator's contracting, badging and security requirements. Many aviation clients in the county need cleaning for offices, hangars and tenant spaces instead, which can be scoped directly with the tenant.
Can you staff a day porter for a busy aviation office or FBO?
Yes. A day porter can keep lobbies, restrooms, break rooms and conference rooms in order while staff, pilots and visitors come and go, then hand off to an evening crew for the full clean. Porter hours are set around your busiest periods rather than a fixed office day.
