Ontario warehouse cleaning

Warehouse Cleaning Services in Ontario, CA

Floor, dock and racking-lane cleaning for Ontario distribution centers and freight buildings, planned around trucks, forklifts and round-the-clock shifts.

The short answer

EBS Maintenance provides warehouse cleaning services in Ontario, CA for distribution centers, freight and cross-dock buildings and light manufacturing near Ontario International Airport and the I-10, I-15 and SR-60 corridors. Crews machine-scrub concrete, clear docks and bays, clean racking lanes, dust high structure and keep break areas and restrooms ready for each shift. EBS has serviced more than 10 million square feet, and its largest single contract tops 1 million.

Freight, trucks and dust in Ontario's industrial areas

Warehousing is one of the dominant parts of Ontario's economy. Ontario International Airport is UPS's West Coast air and truck hub and a major FedEx Express distribution point, and the city's distribution centers include operations for companies such as AutoZone, Cardinal Health, Genuine Parts/NAPA and Nordstrom. I-10, I-15, SR-60 and SR-83 all cross the city, so truck traffic is constant.

That traffic brings the soil warehouses fight every day. Tire grit and dust come in through dock doors, Santa Ana winds push fine dust through any opening in season, and dairy land that remains in parts of Ontario adds more. Dust settles on racking and product, grit gets ground into sealed concrete by forklift wheels, and the result is dull floors, poor traction and dirty stock.

Warehouse cleaning services in Ontario, CA: what crews cover

Every site gets its own written scope with frequencies set at the walkthrough. The work usually includes:

  • Ride-on and walk-behind scrubbing of main aisles, staging zones and cross-dock lanes
  • Dock plates, door thresholds and bay areas cleared of stretch wrap, pallet splinters and spills
  • Racking lanes swept and scrubbed, with debris pulled from under bottom beams
  • High dusting of racking tops, beams, light fixtures and ductwork
  • Driver restrooms, check-in windows and shipping offices
  • Break rooms, locker rooms and employee restrooms reset for each shift
  • Cardboard and trash taken to compactors and bins on the site's sorting rules

Scrubbing concrete that never gets a day off

A distribution floor is cleaned with machines, not mops. Ride-on scrubbers suit long, open aisles and cross-dock lanes; walk-behind units reach narrower racking lanes and areas near dock doors. Tire marks, oil drips and ground-in dust each need a different pad, brush or chemical, and sealed or densified concrete has to be treated so the finish lasts.

Frequency follows traffic. Docks and main travel lanes in a busy building may need scrubbing several times a week, while bulk storage zones need far less. Ontario buildings that never close are scrubbed zone by zone on a rotation so part of the floor is always open for work.

Cleaning while trucks and forklifts move

EBS crews follow your traffic plan and PPE rules, check in with shift leads before entering an aisle and cone off wet floors until they dry. Overnight and weekend windows suit buildings with quiet periods; for round-the-clock sites, a split program puts a day crew on restrooms and break rooms and a night crew on floors.

Heat is part of the plan inland. Cal/OSHA's indoor heat rule, Title 8 section 3396, generally applies once an indoor work area reaches 82 degrees Fahrenheit with employees present, and dock aprons and yards fall under the outdoor rule in section 3395. EBS schedules its own heaviest tasks for cooler hours where the site allows and follows the facility's heat procedures.

Large footprints and the records behind them

Ontario distribution buildings are often very large, and EBS is set up for that scale: more than 10 million square feet serviced in total, and one contract on its own above 1 million square feet. Field supervisors inspect each site and log findings and corrective actions in eHub, service logs show what was cleaned and when, and backup staff fill any absence so a shift is never skipped.

Those records are useful when a safety lead, a customer audit or an insurer asks how the building is kept. To have a supervisor walk your Ontario facility at no cost, call (949) 375-3305. Crews travel from EBS's office in Corona.

Request a walkthroughAll questions
Do you scrub floors in buildings that operate 24 hours a day?

Yes. Round-the-clock buildings are scrubbed in zones on a rotation, coordinated with shift leads so each area is closed off only while it is being cleaned and dried. Docks and main lanes get the most frequent passes.

Can you clean high racking and ceiling structure?

Yes. High dusting of racking, beams, fixtures and ductwork is part of EBS's specialty work. The method and access equipment are planned at the walkthrough to suit your clearances and safety rules, and product below is protected or moved first.

Do you pressure wash dock aprons and truck areas?

Yes. Pressure washing of dock aprons, entries and trash enclosures can be added to a warehouse program on a set cycle or booked as a one-time project, usually in early hours to avoid summer heat and truck traffic.

How do you deal with dust during Santa Ana wind season?

The schedule tightens during windy periods. Dock areas and entries are swept and scrubbed more often, high dusting is moved up if dust is building on stock, and the frequency drops back once the season passes.

Will you work with our safety team on housekeeping?

Yes. The scope can mirror your housekeeping standards, and eHub inspection records and service logs give your safety lead documented proof of what was cleaned, when and what was corrected.
