Coachella Valley warehouse cleaning
Warehouse Cleaning Services in the Coachella Valley
Floor, dock and employee-area cleaning for eastern valley packing houses, bottling and light manufacturing plants, and the trucking operations along SR-86 and I-10.
The short answer
EBS Maintenance provides warehouse cleaning services in the Coachella Valley for agricultural packing and shipping houses, light manufacturing and bottling plants, and the docks and yards of trucking operations around Coachella, Indio, Thermal and Mecca. EBS has more than 25 years of commercial cleaning and over 10 million square feet serviced, and it schedules desert industrial work around harvest cycles and extreme summer heat. Each site is run from EBS's Corona office with logged visits and supervisor inspections.
Where the valley's industrial work happens
The eastern valley is the industrial side. Coachella is an agricultural and shipping center surrounded by date palms, citrus, grapes and vegetables, and its light industrial area includes a bottling facility and a string manufacturer. The SR-86 trucking expressway meets I-10 there, carrying produce and freight in and out of the valley.
Indio adds agriculture, particularly dates, along with I-10, Highway 111 and SR-86 access, and Thermal and Mecca sit among the farmland further south. Packing houses, cold rooms, shipping docks and the offices that run them make up most of the industrial building stock in this part of the valley.
Packing houses, plants and docks
Each facility type gets a scope built around how it operates. Sanitizing food-contact surfaces and packing equipment stays with the facility's own sanitation crew; EBS covers the building around it.
| Facility | What gets cleaned | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Packing and shipping house | Receiving and storage floors, cold room floors, docks, restrooms and break rooms for seasonal crews | Daily during harvest, deep cleaning between seasons |
| Light manufacturing and bottling | Warehouse aisles, floors around production areas, docks, employee areas | Around production runs and planned downtime |
| Truck docks and yards | Dock plates, aprons, bumpers, yard and apron pressure washing | Early morning, before the heat builds |
| Site offices and employee areas | Offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker areas | Every visit |

Warehouse cleaning services in the Coachella Valley during extreme heat
Desert summers make heat the main scheduling constraint. Warehouses and packing buildings that are not fully air conditioned fall under Cal/OSHA's indoor heat standard, Title 8 section 3396, once temperatures reach the levels it sets, and yard and dock work falls under the outdoor heat standard, section 3395.
In practice that means machine scrubbing and high dusting are done overnight or before sunrise in the hot months, pressure washing happens at first light, and crews work in shorter rotations during the warmest part of any shift. Heavy work that can wait is moved into the cooler months.
Sand at the dock door
Wind-blown sand reaches every open dock door and personnel entrance in the valley. Ground into concrete by forklift tires, it acts like sandpaper on floor coatings and dulls sealed floors quickly.
Programs here sweep or dust-mop before any wet scrubbing so sand is lifted rather than smeared, use scrubber pads matched to the floor finish, keep walk-off mats at personnel doors and dust racking tops and ledges on a shorter cycle. Dock thresholds get the most frequent attention because that is where the sand comes in.
Supervision and starting service
Field supervisors cover desert sites from Corona on a regular inspection routine, logging results and corrective actions in eHub, and service logs record each zone cleaned. Backup staffing covers absences, which matters most during harvest when skipping a day is not an option.

Questions we hear
Still not sure? A supervisor can answer at the walkthrough.
Request a walkthroughAll questionsCan you scale cleaning up for harvest and back down afterward?
Yes. Packing and shipping programs are usually written with a harvest level and an off-season level. During harvest, receiving areas, docks and employee areas are cleaned daily; between seasons, crews shift to deep floor work, high dusting and pressure washing while the building is quiet.
Will your cleaning records help with our food-safety audits?
They can support them. Service logs show which areas were cleaned and when, and eHub inspection records show what a supervisor checked and corrected. Your auditor decides what documentation is required, and food-contact sanitation records remain with your own sanitation team.
Do you clean overnight in the summer?
Yes. Overnight and pre-dawn schedules are standard for heavy desert warehouse work in the hot months, because floors and air are coolest then and crews can work safely under Cal/OSHA's heat rules. Restrooms and break rooms can still be serviced during the day.
Is the eastern Coachella Valley within your service area?
Yes. Indio, La Quinta, Coachella, Thermal and Mecca are all part of EBS's Eastern Coachella Valley coverage. Crews and supervisors travel there from the Corona office, and each site gets the same inspection, logging and backup staffing as sites closer to home.
