Hospitality Cleaning Services
Cleaning for hotels, resorts, conference centers and extended-stay properties, from the lobby and guest floors to ballrooms and back-of-house.
The short answer
EBS Maintenance provides hospitality cleaning services for hotels, resorts, conference centers and extended-stay properties across Southern California. Crews clean lobbies, corridors, elevators and restrooms, turn guest rooms on day or night schedules, and prepare and recover meeting and event space, with floor care and glass on a set calendar. Staff are trained, uniformed and background-checked, and supervisors record inspections in EBS's eHub system so management can see what was done and when.
What hospitality cleaning services cover, front to back
Front of house sets the guest's first impression. Daily lobby and common area cleaning covers the front desk, seating, lobby restrooms, entry glass and the lounge, with the deepest work done overnight when the lobby is quiet. Elevators, corridors and high-touch points such as call buttons, handrails, door handles and ice machine handles are disinfected on every pass. Entrance and lounge glass is kept clear of fingerprints, and exterior glass is scheduled.
Guest rooms can be cleaned on day or night turnover. Checkout rooms get a full clean: bathroom disinfected, linens changed, surfaces dusted, floors vacuumed, amenities restocked. Stayovers get a lighter refresh on the property's standard. Restrooms in public areas are cleaned and restocked on a set loop, more often during check-in and event breaks.
Meeting and event space needs prep before and recovery after: carpets vacuumed and spotted, tables and chairs wiped, prefunction areas and restrooms reset, and trash removed before the next group arrives. Floor care runs on its own calendar: corridor carpet extraction, stone lobby care, and strip-and-wax for back-of-house hard floors. Spill and cleanup support covers everything from a dropped tray in the lobby to a flooded guest bathroom.
Guest safety, worker safety and hotel-specific rules
Hotels see situations most offices never do, so the scope addresses them directly. Needles and blood in guest rooms are handled by staff trained under Cal/OSHA's bloodborne pathogens standard, Title 8 section 5193, using sharps containers and protective equipment. When a stomach illness moves through a property, rooms and public areas are disinfected with an EPA-registered product whose label covers norovirus, left wet for its full contact time.
California also has a hotel-specific workplace rule. Cal/OSHA's hotel housekeeping standard, Title 8 section 3345, requires lodging employers to maintain a written program to prevent musculoskeletal injuries among housekeepers. When EBS crews clean guest rooms, the work is coordinated with that program, including tools that cut down on bending and reaching.
- Do Not Disturb signs respected and room entry done by the property's procedure
- Lost-and-found items logged and handed to the front desk, never kept
- Key cards and master keys signed out and returned each shift
- Food waste from banquets and outlets sorted for organics under California SB 1383
- Green, non-toxic products available for properties that request them

Staffing models: in-house, outsourced and hybrid
Many hotels keep room attendants on their own payroll and bring in an outside team for public areas, overnight cleaning or banquet turns. Others outsource housekeeping entirely, and some use a contractor only during peak months. EBS works in any of those models, with a written scope that makes clear which rooms and tasks belong to each team.
The most common setup is an overnight public-area crew, which cleans the lobby, restrooms, corridors, fitness center and meeting rooms after midnight, paired with a day porter for the lobby, entrances and pool deck. Pool decks and entry walkways are pressure washed on a schedule. Backup staffing keeps coverage steady when occupancy spikes, and 24/7 priority support handles urgent calls.
Conference center cleaning between sessions
Conference center cleaning is a timing problem. A ballroom may go from general session to banquet in an hour, prefunction areas fill at every break, and restrooms take the heaviest load in the minutes right after a session ends. EBS staffs to the event calendar, with crews assigned to flips, a restroom team during breaks and a recovery crew after the last event. Exhibit halls with hard floors get machine scrubbing after move-out.
Hotel and resort coverage across Southern California
EBS serves hotels and resorts in Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, San Diego County and the Coachella Valley, and each region has a page on its lodging markets. Crews are dispatched from the company's single office in Corona. Questions we hear
Still not sure? A supervisor can answer at the walkthrough.
Request a walkthroughAll questionsDo you clean guest rooms or only public areas?
Both. Hotel cleaning services from EBS can cover guest room turnover on day or night schedules, public areas only, or a mix such as overnight public areas plus checkout rooms on busy days. The scope spells out which team handles what, so nothing falls between in-house staff and the contractor.
Can your crew work overnight so guests rarely see them?
Yes. Overnight crews handle lobby floors, public restrooms, corridors, fitness rooms and meeting space after the property quiets down. Crews are uniformed and trained to work quietly, keep loud machine work away from occupied guest floors at night, and follow the property's rules on which areas can be serviced at what hour.
How do you respond to an illness outbreak at a hotel?
With a targeted disinfection plan agreed with management. Affected rooms and public touchpoints are cleaned and disinfected with an EPA-registered product whose label covers the suspected pathogen, applied at the full contact time. Electrostatic spraying can be added for large spaces, and the work is documented.
Can you scale up for conference season or a big event?
Yes. Event and peak-season staffing is planned from the property's calendar, adding crews for room flips, break-time restroom service and post-event recovery. Backup staffing and field supervision keep the regular scope going while the extra work is done.
What affects the cost of resort cleaning services?
The number of rooms in scope, the square footage of public and event space, floor types, occupancy patterns, overnight versus daytime work, and periodic jobs like carpet extraction and pressure washing. EBS prices after a walkthrough rather than from a rate sheet, so the quote reflects your property.
