Government Facility Cleaning in Los Angeles County
Programs for civic centers, county department headquarters, courthouses and federal offices, from Downtown to the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys.
The short answer
EBS Maintenance provides government facility cleaning in Los Angeles County for civic center offices, county department headquarters, courthouses, federal buildings and city halls. Each building gets a written scope that reflects its security level, public hours and restricted rooms. Crews are background-checked and uniformed, and a field supervisor records inspections. Agencies with sites in several parts of the county can run one program with the same standards at every address.
Civic clusters from Downtown to the valleys
Public buildings here are spread across many centers rather than gathered in one. Some of the larger concentrations, each with its own mix of offices, courts and public counters:
- Downtown Los Angeles Civic Center: city, county, state and federal buildings beside the Financial District and Bunker Hill towers
- Van Nuys Government Center: the San Fernando Valley's civic hub, with courts and city offices near Van Nuys Airport
- Norwalk: the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk headquarters, the Southeast District courthouse and Metropolitan State Hospital
- Alhambra: Los Angeles County Public Works headquarters on Fremont Avenue
- Pomona Civic Center: the East District courthouses serving the eastern San Gabriel Valley
- Compton Civic Center: City Hall and the courthouse
- Diamond Bar: the South Coast Air Quality Management District headquarters on Copley Drive
Government facility cleaning in Los Angeles County for multi-site agencies
Many county and state departments work from several buildings: a headquarters in one city, field offices in others, a records site somewhere else. With a different vendor at each address, standards drift. A single program keeps the same scope language, inspection checklist and reporting everywhere, while the schedule and access plan are set building by building.
Supervisors are assigned by area so every site has someone who knows it, and the eHub inspection log rolls up into one record the department can review. When a site needs extra work, such as refinishing a public lobby floor, it is booked as project work so the nightly program carries on untouched.

Courthouses, registrar offices and busy public counters
Courts and registrar offices move a steady stream of residents through screening points, and that traffic lands on lobbies, corridors and restrooms. Those areas get a daytime porter where volume justifies it and a full clean after closing. Courtrooms and jury rooms are cleaned around the court calendar, while chambers, evidence rooms and records areas are entered only under the building's clearance and escort rules.
A registrar's headquarters runs very differently in an election month than in a quiet one. The program is reviewed with the facility contact ahead of those periods so restroom checks, trash runs and floor care match the expected traffic.
Contract cities and shared public buildings
Lakewood pioneered the contract-city model, buying most municipal services from the county and private firms rather than staffing them in-house. Where a city works this way, or where a city hall shares space with a county service, the cleaning scope has to say exactly which rooms belong to whom, who approves changes and who signs off on completed work. Writing that down at the start avoids the gaps that appear when two agencies each assume the other is responsible.
Federal and military workplaces
Federal sites in the county range from the Wilshire Federal Building in Westwood to Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo and Fort MacArthur in San Pedro. Each runs its own badging and contractor vetting, and the timeline belongs to the agency. Our team members pass an EBS background check before any assignment, and the agency's own steps are built into the start-up plan so the first night of service is not the first time anyone reads the access rules.

Questions we hear
Still not sure? A supervisor can answer at the walkthrough.
Request a walkthroughAll questionsCan one contract cover department buildings in different parts of the county?
Yes. One scope, inspection checklist and reporting format can apply across every building, with the schedule, access plan and restricted rooms set for each address. The department gets one point of contact and one inspection record.
Do you offer public building janitorial services in Los Angeles County during open hours?
Yes. A day porter can keep lobbies, restrooms and public counters in order while residents are in the building, and the full clean of offices and floors runs in the evening or overnight.
What happens if a regular cleaner cannot work a shift?
Backup staff are assigned so the building is still cleaned, and the supervisor confirms the work at the next inspection. Agencies that require pre-cleared staff have backups put through the same access process in advance.
What disinfectants are used in public restrooms?
EPA-registered disinfectants, applied at the dilution and wet contact time on the label, on fixtures, partitions, door hardware and other high-touch surfaces. Green products are available for general cleaning where an agency asks for them.
Where are your crews based when they work in Los Angeles County?
In Corona, at our only office. Teams travel from there to sites across Los Angeles County, and your account supervisor is the contact for scheduling and changes.
