Manufacturing Facility Cleaning in Los Angeles County
From defense campuses in El Segundo to machine shops in Santa Fe Springs, LA County plants need cleaning that respects controlled areas, oily floors and long production days.
The short answer
EBS Maintenance provides manufacturing facility cleaning in Los Angeles County for aerospace and defense plants, food producers, metal and fabrication shops, and the light-industrial buildings of the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys. Crews degrease and scrub production floors, clear overhead dust, clean around machinery and keep shared facilities stocked. Restricted areas are cleaned under each plant's escort and badge rules by background-checked staff who travel from EBS's Corona office.
Four manufacturing belts in one county
Los Angeles County's plants sit in distinct clusters, and the cleaning problems change from one to the next. A program for a South Bay aerospace building looks nothing like one for a food plant off I-5, so the walkthrough starts with which belt the plant sits in.
- South Bay: aerospace and defense campuses in El Segundo, the Smoky Hollow hard-tech district, the space industry around Hawthorne Municipal Airport, aerospace and precision manufacturers in Torrance, and food manufacturing in Gardena.
- Southeast Los Angeles: Santa Fe Springs, which markets itself as an industrial hub for advanced manufacturing, food production and aerospace; the manufacturing and rail city of Commerce; Paramount, South Gate, the Cheli industrial area in Bell, the Cerritos Industrial Park and Greenwood Avenue in Montebello.
- San Fernando Valley: the Chatsworth-Northridge Industrial Core, a district with aerospace roots that now also draws manufacturing and logistics users.
- San Gabriel Valley: medical-device and technology companies in Monrovia, manufacturers and wholesalers in South El Monte, and the Mission 71 Business Park in Pomona.
Manufacturing facility cleaning in Los Angeles County's defense plants
Defense and space work brings access rules that shape the whole cleaning plan. Under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), plants restrict who may enter areas holding controlled hardware or technical data, and many add their own rules on phones, photos and escorts. The plant decides who is allowed where; EBS builds staffing around that decision.
In practice that means a named, consistent team, cleaning limited to areas the plant clears, escorts where required, and nothing moved from desks or benches beyond what the scope allows. EBS team members are background-checked, and the company has experience in high-security and access-controlled facilities, including government operations.

Oil, coolant and food residue on Southeast LA floors
Machine shops and fabricators leave a film of cutting fluid, hydraulic oil and fine metal on concrete. A damp mop just spreads it. Crews pre-treat with a degreaser suited to the floor coating, scrub with an auto-scrubber, and pick up the recovered water rather than letting it reach a drain, which keeps sites under California's Industrial General Permit for stormwater out of trouble.
Food producers in Gardena and Santa Fe Springs bring different residue: flour, sugar, oils and constant wet floors. Product-contact sanitation stays with the plant's own sanitation crew; EBS takes the corridors, locker rooms, restrooms, break rooms, offices and the floors and walls the scope assigns. Organic waste from break areas is sorted for SB 1383 collection.
Refinery neighbors, freeways and shift timing
Plants in Carson, Torrance, El Segundo and Wilmington share their neighborhoods with refineries, and some industrial sites near them require a safety orientation or specific protective equipment before contractors start. Those requirements go into the scope so every crew member arrives prepared.
Travel matters in a county this size. Crews are scheduled to arrive ahead of shift change rather than in the middle of it, and heavier tasks such as high dusting or floor recoating are booked for weekends when the I-405, I-110, I-5 and I-605 are lighter and the plant is quiet. Backup staff cover absences so a long drive never becomes a missed night.
Requesting a walkthrough for an LA County plant
Call (949) 375-3305 or request a walkthrough. A supervisor visits with your plant manager or safety lead, notes floor coatings, restricted zones, shift times and site rules, and EBS sends a written scope, schedule and price. Inspections afterward are logged in EBS's eHub system, so you can see what was checked and what was corrected.

Questions we hear
Still not sure? A supervisor can answer at the walkthrough.
Request a walkthroughAll questionsCan your staff work in ITAR-controlled areas?
Access to ITAR-controlled areas is the plant's decision under its own export compliance program, not something a cleaning contractor grants itself. EBS staffs those sites with background-checked team members, follows escort and badge rules, and limits work to the areas the plant clears. Share your requirements at the walkthrough so the team can be matched to them.
How do you clean an oily machine shop floor?
With a degreaser chosen for the floor's coating, followed by an auto-scrubber that recovers the dirty water. Mopping spreads oil, so it is used only for spot work. Scrubbing frequency depends on how many machines run and how much coolant reaches the floor, and the recovered water is disposed of properly instead of going down a drain.
Do you clean food manufacturing plants in Gardena or Santa Fe Springs?
Yes, the non-production areas and the zones the scope assigns. Restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, offices, corridors and the floors and walls outside product-contact areas are typical. Sanitation of food-contact equipment stays with the plant's own sanitation team, which keeps responsibility for food safety records clear.
Do you cover the Chatsworth and Northridge industrial area?
Yes. The San Fernando Valley is part of EBS's Los Angeles County coverage, including the Chatsworth-Northridge Industrial Core. Valley plants are usually cleaned in the evening or on weekends, with the same team assigned to the building wherever possible and backup staff on call.
