Warehouse Cleaning Services in Torrance, CA
Floor scrubbing, dock cleaning and high dusting for Torrance warehouses and manufacturing plants, scheduled around production and forklift traffic.
The short answer
EBS Maintenance provides warehouse cleaning services in Torrance, CA for distribution space and for the warehouse and production areas of aerospace and precision manufacturers. Crews machine-scrub floors, clean docks and bays, clear racking lanes, dust beams and ledges, and keep restrooms and break areas ready for every shift. Work runs overnight, on weekends or between shifts, with service logs and supervisor inspections on every site.
Torrance's industrial base and what it leaves on the floor
Torrance industry leans toward precision manufacturing. A helicopter builder, Robinson Helicopter, sits on the employer list next to Arconic's fastening operation, Moog and Honeywell, while the PBF Energy refinery anchors heavy industry at the north end. The I-405, I-110 and SR-91 carry freight in and out, and neighboring Carson adds a large concentration of harbor-region distribution buildings.
Manufacturing floors collect metal fines, cutting-fluid residue and packaging debris, while dock areas take in dust and tire marks from truck traffic. Left alone, that material spreads into aisles and offices, makes floors slippery, and settles on product and equipment.
What warehouse cleaning services in Torrance, CA cover
Equipment and methods are matched to the floor. Sealed and coated concrete needs different pads and chemistry than bare concrete, and areas with oil or fluid residue may need degreasing before scrubbing.
- Machine scrubbing of sealed and bare concrete with ride-on or walk-behind scrubbers
- Dock and bay cleaning: debris, spills, pallet fragments and dock-plate edges
- Racking lanes swept and scrubbed, with debris cleared from under the bottom beam
- High dusting of beams, ledges, ducts and light fixtures so dust does not fall on product
- Restrooms, locker rooms and break areas cleaned and stocked for each shift
- Shipping and production offices, including the dust tracked in from the floor
- Pressure washing of exterior docks, aprons and dumpster areas

Cleaning around forklifts, shifts and heat
Warehouse cleaning has to fit the operation, not the other way round. Most scrubbing is done overnight, on weekends or in the gap between shifts, and aisles are coordinated with your floor lead so crews never work in an active forklift lane. Crews wear the PPE your site requires and follow its traffic and dock rules.
Heat is a planning factor too. Cal/OSHA's indoor heat standard, Title 8 section 3396, covers indoor workplaces such as warehouses once temperatures reach the levels the rule sets, and cleaning crews in hot buildings need water, rest and cooler hours like anyone else. Scheduling the heaviest work overnight helps on both counts.
Large floors, frequencies and records
Scale matters in a warehouse contract. EBS has serviced more than 10 million square feet, including over 1 million square feet under a single contract, and has 100+ employees, with backup staffing and field supervision to keep large sites covered.
Each visit is recorded in a service log, and supervisors inspect the site and track corrective actions in eHub. The frequencies below are typical starting points before the walkthrough refines them.
| Area | Typical frequency |
|---|---|
| Main aisles and traffic lanes | Scrubbed nightly to weekly, by traffic |
| Docks and bays | Swept daily, scrubbed weekly |
| Racking and high surfaces | High dusting quarterly or as needed |
| Restrooms and break areas | Every shift or every day |
| Exterior docks and aprons | Pressure washed monthly or quarterly |

Questions we hear
Still not sure? A supervisor can answer at the walkthrough.
Request a walkthroughAll questionsCan you scrub floors while we are operating?
In some areas, yes, with walk-behind equipment and coordination with your floor lead. Many facilities prefer scrubbing main aisles overnight, on weekends or between shifts so forklift traffic and cleaning never share a lane, and that is the default plan.
Do you clean manufacturing areas as well as warehouse space?
Yes. Production-support areas such as aisles, break areas, locker rooms and offices are common, and the scope spells out which equipment and production zones crews do not touch. Cleanroom areas, where they exist, follow a separate ISO and GMP aligned cleanroom program with cleaning logs.
How often should a warehouse floor be machine scrubbed?
It depends on traffic and what is tracked in. Busy main aisles and dock approaches may need scrubbing nightly or several times a week, while low-traffic storage areas may need it weekly or less. The frequency is set at the walkthrough and adjusted after the first inspections.
Do you handle high dusting of racking?
Yes. Beams, ledges, ducts and fixtures are dusted on a periodic schedule using lifts or extension tools as the site allows, with product protected below. Height, access equipment and safety rules are confirmed at the walkthrough before any overhead work is scheduled.
Can you provide records for our safety audits?
Yes. Service logs show when each area was cleaned, and eHub inspection records show what supervisors checked and how issues were corrected. That documentation can support your internal safety and housekeeping reviews and gives your safety lead dates to point to.
