Manufacturing Facility Cleaning in San Diego County

North County business parks, Kearny Mesa's industrial core, Gillespie Field and the border plants of Otay Mesa each need a different cleaning plan.

The short answer

EBS Maintenance provides manufacturing facility cleaning in San Diego County for aerospace and defense plants, electronics and medical device makers, life-science production space, breweries and cross-border manufacturers. Crews keep production floors, dust-prone overhead areas and equipment surroundings clean, maintain restrooms and break rooms, and keep documentation for audited spaces. Teams travel from EBS's Corona office down I-15 to plants from Oceanside and Vista to Kearny Mesa, El Cajon and Otay Mesa.

North County: Palomar Airport Road, Vista and SR-78

Carlsbad's business parks along the Palomar Airport Road corridor house life-science, technology, medical-device and golf-equipment companies. Next door, the Vista Business Park on the Carlsbad border is home to manufacturing, industrial and flex users and several craft breweries. Oceanside's inland industrial and business parks, including Oceanside Industrial Park and Ocean Ranch Corporate Center, add manufacturing, distribution and a growing biotech presence.

Along SR-78, San Marcos lists irrigation and instrumentation manufacturers and a dairy producer among its top employers, and Poway's employment base is led by an aeronautical systems company along with other manufacturers and distributors. Escondido, on the I-15 corridor, also counts manufacturing as a meaningful share of resident employment.

Kearny Mesa, Gillespie Field and Otay Mesa

Kearny Mesa is a designated employment area in the City of San Diego's General Plan, with manufacturing, distribution and office uses, including the industrial park that grew around Montgomery Field. In East County, Gillespie Field's industrial and business parks hold much of El Cajon's manufacturing, from an aerospace manufacturer to a guitar maker. Chula Vista's list of top employers also includes an aerospace manufacturer.

Otay Mesa, on the Mexican border, is planned by the city as a major employment center built around the Otay Mesa Port of Entry, the commercial crossing for trucks. Logistics, customs brokerage and manufacturing businesses cluster there, and their buildings see heavy truck traffic and dock activity from morning to night.

Manufacturing facility cleaning in San Diego County, by plant type

San Diego County's plant mix, with its breweries, composite shops, biotech suites and border operations, produces cleaning problems that are less common elsewhere in Southern California. Each one changes the tools, chemicals or timing in the scope, and these are the ones the walkthrough looks for first:

  • Breweries: constant wet floors, trench drains and spent grain. Brewers handle their own clean-in-place systems for tanks and lines; EBS takes floors, drains, restrooms, offices and taprooms as scoped.
  • Composite work: golf equipment and aerostructure shops sand carbon fiber and fiberglass, which leaves fine dust that is captured with HEPA vacuums rather than swept or blown.
  • Life science and medical devices: controlled rooms are cleaned to ISO 14644 classes and GMP practice, with logs and service reports kept for audits.
  • Defense and aerospace: access-controlled areas are cleaned under the plant's escort, badge and restricted-area rules by background-checked staff.
  • Border logistics and assembly: dock floors and truck-driver restrooms take heavy traffic and need service more than once a day.

Distance, scheduling and supervision

EBS has one office, in Corona, and San Diego County plants are reached down I-15 and I-5. That distance is why programs here are built on fixed schedules with a consistent crew assigned to each plant, so the team knows the building, the shift pattern and the people before anything unusual happens. Backup staffing covers absences without leaving a plant uncleaned.

Supervisors inspect each site on a routine schedule and log findings and corrective actions in EBS's eHub system, which gives quality and safety managers a record they can review between visits. Evening and overnight cleaning suits most single-shift plants, while multi-shift operations are cleaned zone by zone with heavy work on weekends.

Starting a San Diego County plant program

Request a walkthroughAll questions
Do you clean breweries in Vista and North County?

Yes, the areas around production. Crews scrub wet brewhouse and cellar floors, clear and rinse trench drains, and clean restrooms, offices and taprooms. Tanks, lines and other product-contact equipment stay with the brewery's own clean-in-place program, so responsibility for product sanitation never gets blurred.

How do you handle carbon fiber and fiberglass dust?

It is captured, not moved. Crews use HEPA-filtered vacuums on floors, benches and ledges around sanding and trimming areas and avoid dry sweeping and blowers that put fine fibers back in the air. Protective equipment follows the plant's own requirements for those rooms, and the scope sets how often each area is done.

Do you serve Otay Mesa and the border industrial area?

Yes. Otay Mesa is part of EBS's San Diego County coverage. Manufacturing and logistics buildings there are usually cleaned on a set schedule built around dock hours, with extra attention to entry floors and driver restrooms, which take heavy use from cross-border truck traffic.

Can you keep cleaning records for biotech production areas?

Yes. EBS cleanroom programs are aligned with ISO and GMP practice, and crews complete cleaning logs and service reports on each visit. Those records follow your procedures for agents, sequence and frequency, so your quality team can show them during audits alongside its own facility records.
