South Gate, CA

South Gate grew as an industrial hub, home to plants such as the former Firestone tire factory, and it keeps an industrial base alongside retail at the Azalea Regional Shopping Center and the Tweedy Mile downtown. The I-710 and the Los Angeles River cross the east side, the Alameda Corridor freight line passes along the city, and a Metro Southeast Gateway Line station is planned.
