Hotel and Resort Cleaning in the Coachella Valley

Cleaning for desert hotels, golf resorts and casino resorts, staffed for the cooler-month peak, festival weekends and summer project season.

The short answer

EBS Maintenance provides hotel and resort cleaning in the Coachella Valley for Palm Springs hotels, Rancho Mirage and La Quinta resorts, Palm Desert golf properties, and lodging around Indio's festival grounds. Crews clean lobbies, guest rooms, corridors, restrooms, spas, clubhouses and event space, and the program scales up for the cooler-month peak and festival weekends, then shifts to deep cleaning in summer. Teams travel out along I-10 from EBS's Corona office, and supervisors inspect each property routinely.

The valley's hotel and resort base

Palm Springs has a tourism-led economy, with hotels, resorts and a city-owned convention center around a downtown and Uptown core on Palm Canyon Drive, and Palm Springs International Airport just east of downtown. Rancho Mirage's economy rests on healthcare and hospitality, with resorts such as the Ritz-Carlton and the Omni Rancho Las Palmas and the Agua Caliente casino off I-10.

Further east, hotels and resorts, including Desert Willow Golf Resort, are a large part of Palm Desert's economy, and in La Quinta, La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA West rank among the largest employers, with SilverRock Golf Resort nearby. Indio's Empire Polo Club hosts the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals, and tribal casinos near the city of Coachella are major employers in the eastern valley.

Hotel and resort cleaning in the Coachella Valley through the season

Demand in the valley peaks in the cooler months, when seasonal residents and visitors arrive. During that stretch, properties run full programs: overnight public-area crews, porters for lobbies, pool decks and restrooms, and steady guest room turnover. When summer heat thins out the visitors, the same contract can step down to a smaller daily crew and pick up the project work that is hard to schedule while rooms are full. Summer is the natural window for:

  • Corridor and guest room carpet extraction
  • Stone and tile restoration in lobbies and bathrooms
  • Strip-and-wax of back-of-house hard floors
  • High dusting of lobbies, ballrooms and vents
  • Exterior glass, balcony and railing cleaning
  • Deep cleaning of spa, locker room and pool areas

Festival weekends in Indio

Festival weekends at the Empire Polo Club bring large crowds to Indio and the surrounding cities. Nearby hotels can expect full rooms, busy lobbies and late returns, with dust and grass tracked in from a weekend of outdoor events. Programs for those weekends add porters for lobbies, elevators and public restrooms, put more people on room turnover after checkout, and book entry pressure washing and carpet spotting for the days after the crowds leave.

Working safely in the desert heat

Back-of-house areas such as laundry rooms, linen storage and loading docks get hot in a desert summer. Cal/OSHA's indoor heat rule, Title 8 section 3396, applies once indoor temperatures reach 82 degrees, so crews working there take water and rest breaks, and supervisors work with engineering on cooling and ventilation. Outdoor tasks on pool decks, patios and clubhouse terraces fall under Title 8 section 3395 and are scheduled at first light.

Golf clubhouses, locker rooms and pro shops need daily cleaning and disinfection of showers, benches and floors, and casino resorts that operate around the clock get rolling coverage instead of one overnight clean.

Supervision and getting started

EBS has a single office, in Corona, and covers the Western, Central and Eastern Coachella Valley from there. Field supervisors inspect each property on a routine schedule and log results and corrective actions in eHub, backup staff cover absences during the busy months, and 24/7 priority support handles urgent calls. Crews are vetted, background-checked and uniformed. Every task in the standard hotel scope is described on the main hospitality cleaning page.

Request a walkthroughAll questions
How do you staff a resort that is full in winter and quiet in summer?

With two service levels written into one contract. The peak level adds overnight crews, porters and room turnover staff while the valley is full; the summer level keeps a smaller daily crew and adds project work such as carpet extraction and floor restoration. Dates are agreed in advance.

Do you add crews for festival weekends?

Yes. Festival weekends are planned from the property's calendar, with extra porters for lobbies and restrooms, more room turnover staff after checkout, and a post-festival clean of entries and carpets. The regular scope continues alongside it, so daily work is not cut short.

How do you protect crews in hot laundry rooms and back-of-house areas?

The plan follows Title 8 section 3396, Cal/OSHA's standard for indoor heat. Supervisors check temperatures, schedule heavy tasks for cooler hours, coordinate cooling with the engineering team and make sure crews take water and rest breaks. New crew members are watched closely during their first hot shifts.

Do you provide resort cleaning services for golf clubhouses and casino resorts?

Yes. Clubhouses, locker rooms, pro shops and dining rooms are cleaned on a daily scope, and casino resorts that never close get rolling public-area coverage on every shift. Each property's access and security rules are set at the walkthrough and followed by every crew member.
