Green Cleaning Services in the Coachella Valley
Low-fragrance, biodegradable cleaning for Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indio, with schedules that follow the season.
The short answer
EBS Maintenance offers green cleaning services in the Coachella Valley for resorts, restaurants and retail, medical offices, college campuses and public buildings, using non-toxic, biodegradable products, HEPA-filtered vacuums and, on request, recycled paper, refillable dispensers and sustainable liners. With 100-plus employees and 25-plus years in commercial cleaning, EBS sends crews from Corona and sets frequencies to match the valley's seasonal occupancy, so buildings are not cleaned more than they need.
Green cleaning services in the Coachella Valley, from Palm Springs to Coachella
The Western Coachella Valley holds Palm Springs' Village, Uptown Design District, convention center and airport area, Desert Regional Medical Center, and Rancho Mirage's Eisenhower Health campus, resorts and Highway 111 restaurants. The Central valley is Palm Desert's El Paseo and Highway 111 retail, Desert Willow, and the College of the Desert, CSUSB Palm Desert and UCR Palm Desert campuses. In the Eastern valley, Indio has county administrative buildings and JFK Memorial Hospital, La Quinta has its resorts and Old Town, and Coachella has packing and light industrial space.
Sealed buildings in desert heat
For much of the year, valley buildings stay closed with the air conditioning running and much of their air recirculated. Whatever is sprayed indoors, from solvent cleaners to heavy fragrance, lingers. Plant-based, low-VOC products cut what goes into that air, which matters to guests, patients and staff who spend long hours inside.
Fine dust and sand come in with every opened door, so HEPA filtration earns its place here: a standard vacuum can push the finest particles back into the room, while a HEPA unit holds them.
Resorts, restaurants and retail on Highway 111
Hospitality drives much of the valley's economy, and resorts in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert and La Quinta, along with restaurants and shops on Highway 111 and El Paseo, are natural candidates for a green program. Lobbies, meeting rooms, corridors, back-of-house areas and public restrooms can move to green products and supplies, while EPA-approved disinfectants stay on touch points and restroom fixtures. Banquet and meeting space can be turned over between functions using the same green list.

Medical offices and campuses
Medical office buildings near Eisenhower Health, Desert Regional and JFK Memorial, and the college campuses in Palm Desert, are full of people who notice indoor air: patients, students and staff. Green products work in waiting rooms, classrooms, offices and corridors, while exam rooms and clinical spaces keep EPA-approved disinfectants and the protocol agreed at the walkthrough. County administrative buildings in Indio can follow the same split, with crews working inside their access rules.
Seasonal frequency that avoids over-cleaning
Part of a green program is cleaning to need. In the valley, need follows the season: demand peaks in the cooler months, when seasonal residents and visitors arrive, and eases in summer.
| Season | Typical occupancy | How the program adjusts |
|---|---|---|
| Peak season (cooler months) | Full resorts, busy retail, events | Full daily frequencies, extra restroom and entry service, organics sorting at events |
| Shoulder months | Occupancy rising or falling | Frequencies stepped up or down area by area |
| Summer | Quieter resorts, seasonal offices reduced | Lighter routine frequency, with deep cleaning and floor care while spaces are empty |
Oversight and getting started
Supervisors check product use and results during routine inspections and log them in eHub, where corrections are tracked to completion. Crew members are trained on the green product list before starting, are background-checked and wear EBS uniforms, and backup staff use the same products. Green cleaning pairs with our janitorial, disinfection and floor care services in the valley. Teams travel from our Corona office; call (949) 375-3305 for a walkthrough.

Questions we hear
Still not sure? A supervisor can answer at the walkthrough.
Request a walkthroughAll questionsCan a resort switch to green cleaning without lowering standards?
Yes. Rooms are cleaned to the same scope; only the products and supplies change. Plant-based cleaners handle lobbies, corridors and back-of-house areas, EPA-approved disinfectants stay on touch points and in restrooms, and supervisors check the results on routine inspections just as before.
Do you reduce cleaning in summer?
Where the building allows it, yes. Seasonal properties and offices with fewer people in summer can step routine frequencies down and use the quieter months for deep cleaning and floor work. Year-round sites such as medical offices keep their schedules, and every change is agreed in writing with your contact.
Are green products safe around guests' pets?
Yes, when used as directed. The products in EBS's green line are non-toxic, plant-based and biodegradable, and are made to be safe for people, pets and surfaces. Pet-friendly hotels and patios still need normal care with any product, so crews follow label directions and let surfaces dry before an area reopens.
Can green cleaning include recycling and organics at events?
Yes. Crews can set out and service separate trash, recycling and organics containers during an event and keep the streams apart when they clear the space afterward. California's SB 1383 requires businesses to separate organic waste, and food-heavy events produce a great deal of it.
