Bank and Financial Institution Cleaning Services

Discreet cleaning for bank and credit union branches, operations centers and financial offices, built around confidentiality, alarm procedures and your branch hours.

The short answer

EBS Maintenance provides bank and financial institution cleaning services for bank branches, credit unions and financial service offices, delivered with confidentiality and discretion in secure environments. Crews clean lobbies, teller lines, offices, restrooms and glass after hours or before opening, never handle documents or shred bins, and follow your alarm, key and opening procedures. Cleaners are screened and background-checked before they are given a key, and supervisors record inspections in EBS's eHub system.

What bank and financial institution cleaning services include

The scope below is EBS's standard list for financial facilities. Each item is written into the branch's plan with a frequency, and anything that touches customer information or secure areas carries its own rule.

  • Lobbies, teller stations and offices cleaned daily: counters, check-writing stands, chairs and desk surfaces that are clear of paper
  • Restrooms sanitized and restocked, including customer restrooms that must stay presentable all day
  • High-touch disinfection with EPA-approved products: door pulls, counter edges, pens, keypads and ATM vestibule surfaces
  • Interior glass and partitions: teller glass, office fronts, entry doors and drive-up windows from the inside
  • Conference and meeting rooms reset after loan closings and client meetings
  • Floor care: vacuuming, mopping and polishing, with periodic carpet extraction and hard-floor refinishing
  • Secure trash and recycling: ordinary waste removed, shred consoles left locked for the shredding vendor
  • After-hours or early-morning service so branch business is never interrupted

Confidential paper, screens and customer information

Financial institutions are required to protect customer information. Federal rules under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act expect them to safeguard it and to oversee the service providers who could come into contact with it, and California Civil Code section 1798.81 requires businesses to destroy customer records by shredding or otherwise making them unreadable. A cleaning contractor's job is to stay well clear of that information.

In practice, crews never open, empty or move locked shred consoles, never read or stack papers left out, and wipe desks only where the surface is clear. Monitors are dusted, never touched on screen. Paper that looks confidential and has landed in an open trash can is left where it is and reported to the branch manager, so the branch, not the cleaner, decides how it is disposed of.

Alarms, keys and secure rooms

Branches open and close under strict procedures, and the cleaning crew becomes part of them. EBS works with each institution to assign individual alarm codes where the system allows, logs every key issued, and returns or rekeys when staffing changes. Vaults, safe deposit areas, cash rooms and teller drawers are excluded from the scope unless a branch employee is present.

Many branches prefer that cleaners work only while a staff member is on site, either early before opening or right after closing, which keeps the alarm and dual-control routine unchanged. EBS's background includes secure, access-controlled buildings, and its cleaners are trained to respect restricted areas and confidential rooms.

Branches, operations centers and corporate floors

Bank cleaning services for a retail branch focus on the customer side: entry glass, lobby floors, restrooms and teller counters that are seen by every visitor. Credit union cleaning services look similar, though credit union branches often share space with community rooms or member service areas that host meetings and classes.

Behind the branches sit operations centers, call centers, mortgage and wealth management offices and corporate headquarters. Financial office janitorial for these buildings is a full office program: workstations, conference rooms, breakrooms and restrooms, with day porter coverage in executive lobbies and periodic carpet, floor and window work. Scheduling around branch hours

Branch hours decide the schedule. Evening service right after close is the most common, early-morning service suits branches that want a fresh lobby at opening, and Saturday hours often call for a quick restroom and lobby pass. Corporate floors are usually cleaned at night, with a day porter for lobbies and conference suites. The same cleaners are assigned to the same branch so staff know who is in the building, and backup staffing covers absences.

Coverage for branch networks across Southern California

One contract can cover a branch network spread across Orange and Los Angeles counties, the Inland Empire, the Coachella Valley and San Diego County, with every site inspected and documented in the same eHub system. Teams travel from EBS's single office in Corona, and the regional pages describe each market in detail.

Questions we hear

Request a walkthroughAll questions
Do your cleaners empty shred bins?

No. Locked shred consoles and confidential bins belong to the branch's shredding vendor. EBS crews remove ordinary trash and recycling only, and anything that looks confidential in an open can is left in place and reported.

Can cleaners have their own alarm codes?

Where the alarm system allows individual user codes, that is the preferred setup, because every entry and exit is then tied to a named person. EBS also logs every key it holds and returns keys when assignments change.

Do you clean vaults or safe deposit areas?

Only with a branch employee present and only if the institution includes them in the scope. Otherwise vaults, cash rooms and teller drawers are excluded, and crews clean the surrounding floors and counters.

Can you service a branch network across several counties?

Yes. Branches anywhere in EBS's six regions, from Orange and Los Angeles counties through Riverside and San Bernardino counties to the Coachella Valley and San Diego County, can share one scope and one inspection system.

How is a bank or credit union cleaning contract priced?

Each location's size, the cleaning frequency for lobbies, offices and restrooms, floor types, the window allowed around branch hours, and any escort or dual-control requirements. EBS quotes once a supervisor has visited the branches.
