University City is the San Diego community next to UC San Diego, sometimes called the Golden Triangle for the area enclosed by I-5, I-805 and SR-52. The university anchors the local economy, and the northern part holds office campuses, corporate and professional services firms, Scripps Memorial Hospital, UC San Diego's Jacobs Medical Center and the Westfield UTC mall. The southern part is mainly residential, and the Blue Line trolley and SuperLoop bus rapid transit serve the community.
