Day Porter Services in Hollywood, CA

Uniformed daytime porters for Hollywood properties that face tourist crowds, transit riders and busy production weeks.

The short answer

EBS Maintenance provides day porter services in Hollywood, CA for office lobbies, retail and entertainment common areas, and production offices that need attention while they are open. A porter stays on site during your busiest hours, keeping entries clear, restrooms stocked, bins emptied and touchpoints wiped, and handling spills before anyone slips. Porters are uniformed, trained and background-checked, and a field supervisor checks their work.

Day porter services in Hollywood where foot traffic never lets up

Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame see heavy tourist foot traffic. The Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre, the Dolby Theatre and the Ovation Hollywood complex draw visitors all day, and the Hollywood/Highland and Hollywood/Vine Metro B Line stations add a steady stream of riders. Buildings with ground-floor lobbies, shops or public restrooms along that stretch feel it at their front doors.

Entry glass picks up handprints, mats fill with grit, litter blows into doorways and restrooms run through supplies faster than a nightly clean can keep up with. A day porter resets those spaces several times a day, so the property looks the same at four in the afternoon as it did when the doors opened.

What a porter covers on each round

Rounds follow a written route at set intervals, timed to your busiest periods. On each pass the porter works through the same list, and anything beyond the porter's scope, such as a broken fixture, goes straight to your building contact.

  • Entry doors, sidelights and lobby glass wiped of handprints
  • Entry mats shaken or vacuumed, litter cleared from doorways
  • Restrooms checked, wiped and restocked with paper, soap and liners
  • Trash and recycling emptied before bins overflow
  • Door handles, elevator buttons, rails and counters disinfected
  • Spills cleaned and wet-floor signs placed until the floor is dry
  • Seating, tables and common-area furniture straightened and wiped

Production offices and studio-area buildings

Away from the boulevard, the need is different. Studio and production facilities, such as those on the Paramount lot on Melrose Avenue or at Sunset Gower Studios, run on production schedules, and offices that support productions can fill up quickly during a busy stretch. Kitchens, meeting rooms and restrooms that were fine with nightly cleaning start to struggle by midday.

For those tenants, a porter can be added for the busy weeks only. The porter keeps kitchens and coffee areas clean, resets meeting rooms between sessions and keeps restrooms stocked, then the coverage ends when the project wraps.

Sizing porter coverage

There is no standard number of porters for a Hollywood property. The supervisor looks at your hours, foot traffic, restroom count and how much of the space the public can reach, then recommends coverage. Common patterns are shown below.

Uniforms, conduct and supervision

Porters work in full view of visitors, tenants and the public, so how they carry themselves matters. EBS porters wear uniforms, work quietly and leave security matters to your security team. A field supervisor visits on a routine schedule, records inspections in eHub and is your contact for changes, and backup porters cover absences. Request a walkthroughAll questions
Can a porter work weekends on Hollywood Boulevard?

Yes. Weekend porter coverage is available for retail, entertainment and office properties that stay open on Saturday and Sunday. Hours are set in the scope, and extra hours can be added for event days or holiday periods with notice.

Will the porter clean the sidewalk in front of our building?

A porter can clear litter from your entries and doorways during rounds. Deeper exterior work, such as pressure washing your property's walkways and entries, is scheduled separately, usually early in the morning before you open.

Can we have a porter only while our production is busy?

Yes. Porter coverage can be set for a fixed period, such as the weeks a project is fully staffed, and then ended or reduced. The supervisor agrees the start and end dates with you in writing.

How is a porter different from our cleaning crew?

A porter keeps the property presentable while it is open; the cleaning crew does the full clean when it is closed. The porter handles restocks, spills, entries and touchpoints, and the night crew handles vacuuming, mopping and detailed restroom work.
